Women in society have been portrayed as many things since the 1970’s. They have been mistreated, put second, they don’t get recognition, and they have been seen as weak. Many people (most being men) have a problem with women having the upper hand. There are many situations where women have not been equal to men , even till this day: Feminism.
A perfect example of women being degraded is a situation like work/jobs. All though women have controlled most things , they have gotten no credit. Due to this , women power in business has declined. This causes them to get 43 % less than men earn and on top of that they often get discriminated for their job.
Women Vs. Men is what many people that hear about feminism think about first. They believe that women want to degrade men and control everything, when in reality , the purpose is to be equal to them. The difference is that women earn 80 cents for every dollar a man earns. They are 50% of the population yet make up 19% of the congress. Transgender and biexual women are discrimated more than bisexual or transgender men. Women are often blamed for rape rather than the man. This is what women mean by wanting to be equal to men. They are not balanced well enough when they should be.
It’s simple. Women and government is a clearer example of women not being equal to men as well. White feminism always wins yet white feminist only make up less than a quarter than the feminist population. Capitalism will never let the feminist movement be intersectional. WHEN SHORT-SINCE GHTED MOVEMENTS LIKE #GRABYOURWALLET AND SIMILAR “PROTEST WITH YOUR DOLLARS” CAMPAIGNS LOSE THEIR “IT” FACTOR. Anyone can tell that the concept of capitalism is inherently anti-feminist.
